Kanye Postpones "Saint Pablo" Tour Dates
On October 2, 2016, Kim Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint at her apartment in Paris, France while attending Paris Fashion Week. West, who was performing at the Meadows Festival, ended his set nearly a half hour early after a staff member interrupted the performance to alert West of a family emergency regarding his wife. Though West was in the middle of performing his major hit "Heartless", released in 2008, the music abruptly cut as he apologized to the audience and quickly exited the stage, leaving fans confused and aggravated.
While this particular situation is excusable, West has a history of showing up to his own concerts late and leaving fans unhappy and dissatisfied. On August 25, the opening night of West's new tour, "Saint Pablo", he showed up two hours late, blaming his delay on sound check issues. He continued to disappoint fans as he left out some of his most famous hits, including "Stronger" and "Gold Digger". Fans are also advising against getting floor seats for West's future tour dates due to the fact that the staging requires anyone with floor seats to be looking at him hanging above them for the majority of the concert. Though it seems like it couldn't get any worse, fans were also complaining about the ending of West's concert when he simply stopped mid song, had the lights turned off, and walked off stage.
Unfortunately, fans that are anticipating improvement in West's performance are going to have to wait a little bit longer. West has postponed the concerts on October 4 at Philadelphia Wells Fargo and on October 6 at the Palace in Detroit to December 13 and 22 in order to be with Kardashian and his children following the robbery.
